Dell Children's Council
"Being part of the Children's Council has taught me how important Dell Children's is to all of the children in Central Texas, not just my own. I've met so many new friends who share a common vision – to make sure our kids have the best possible healthcare available. -Diana Dobson, Council Friend, 2007 Gala Chair, 2008 Council President

The Dell Children's Council is a selective group of volunteers who advocate for children's healthcare by developing and sponsoring fundraising events, hosting educational opportunities within Dell Children's, and serving as ambassadors by connecting their friends and associates to the medical center. The Council's signature event is the annual black-tie Dell Children's Gala. Council members enjoy their fall and holiday socials and as well as invitations to educational events throughout the year. In addition, there are many opportunities to engage through the many Gala committees.
Annual Contribution $125 for first year Council member and $250, $1000 or $6000 annual gifts with increased benefits and recognition. Children's Council-Friends are encouraged to sponsor a table or purchase tickets to the annual Gala and attend council social events.
Anyone interested in becoming a Friend must be nominated by a current Council Friend. Nominations are held annually. For more information about Dell Children's Council, contact Whitney Peschel at (512) 324-0169 or e-mail at
