"After my son’s hospitalization, I felt completely indebted and wanted a tangible way to give back to other families in need at Dell Children’s. Being a part of the Hill Country Circle of Friends chapter is something I can do in return that really makes a difference." – Michele Dishongh, Hill Country Circle of Friends
Dell Children's Circle of Friends is a network of regional support groups in Central Texas that raise awareness and funds for Children's Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas to benefit Dell Children’s. Each chapter is committed to continued support through grassroots fundraising activities throughout the year. Join an existing chapter or start a new chapter in your community.
The Circle of Friends program began in 1996 in the Round Rock community and has since grown to include the following active chapters: Central Austin, Georgetown, Northwest Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and Austin Metropolitan. To date, the chapters have raised over 3 million dollars and continue to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to benefit Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.
The Circle's are currently raising funds for the Texas Child Study Center Endowment. The Study Center is a collaboration between the University of Texas at Austin Educational Psychology Department and Dell Children's. It's a place where children and adolescents with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges can seek care and is embedded in most departments at Dell Children's.
We invite you to join our efforts to keep the children of Central Texas healthy and strong. Become a Friend of a local Circle of Friends chapter. Meet new people and have fun for a great cause!
Each chapter has monthly meetings (September through May) and hosts 1-2 fund raising events annually. All "Friends" are required to join the chapter for an annual donation of $25. There are also exclusive sponsorship levels for specific events hosted by each chapter throughout the year.
