Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas is a member of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals(CMNH). Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. Countless individuals, organizations and media partners unite with Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to help sick and injured kids in local communities. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children each year.
Every child deserves the hope and healing of children’s hospitals. With the help of a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community, children of all ages and backgrounds can receive treatment for every imaginable disease and injury—from asthma and broken bones to cancer and heart defects. Children’s Hospitals are also on the front lines of research, education and outreach programs that keep millions of kids out of the hospital each year.
This year alone, Children’s Miracle Network hospitals will provide charity care worth billions, yet these children’s hospitals depend on community support to help fund their vital services.

Extra Life Gaming Marathon – ‘Play Games, Heal Kids’
On an Autumn Saturday each year since 2008, tens of thousands of gamers have joined together to save the lives of local kids in a celebration of gaming culture that we call Extra Life. From console games to tabletop RPG's to even lawn sports, Extra Life gives people who love to play a chance to do what they love to save lives and make a difference.
Originally designed as a 24-hour marathon of gaming, Extra Life has evolved to mean different things to different people (though most of our participants still attempt the marathon).
To participate you need only sign up (free) and gather the support of your friends and family through tax-deductible donations to your local CMN Hospital. Then on Saturday, November 2nd (or any day that works for you!) play any game(s) you want on any platform(s) that you want with anyone you want for as long as you want.
The proceeds from Extra Life stay where they're raised to support children's hospitals.
Since 2008, our incredible players have raised more than 4 million dollars, and this year, on November 2nd, 2013 we believe they will outdo themselves yet again.
Dance Marathon is held annually in February on the University of Texas campus in Gregory Gym. This event is hosted and organized by University of Texas students. Participants are required to: raise at least $100 each through donations from friends and family; stand on their feet for 12 hours; and enjoy an exciting day filled with dancing, music, games, food and entertainment. They are also given the opportunity to interact and hear the stories of families who have been patients at Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.
Children’s Miracle Network and its corporate partners share unique, powerful partnerships. Because of these partnerships, millions of children’s lives have been improved, and these organizations have built strong reputations as committed, caring corporate citizens.
Each sponsor partner is unique. From selling Miracle Balloons to hosting a corporate car wash, each sponsor partner finds a way to integrate their corporate culture into creative fundraisers that provide a global fundraising brand, while impacting the lives of employees (and more importantly children) on a local level.
On August 8th, 2013 a portion of the proceeds from every Blizzard treat sold will be donated to Children's Miracle Network which supports Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.

While not an official CMNH National sponsor, it is important to spotlight Randalls Food Markets and their strong commitment to Central Texas children battling cancer through its “Kindness for Kids” annual fundraising campaign benefiting Children’s Blood & Cancer Center at Dell Children’s Medical Center.
Contributions raised through this campaign will help also provide important psychosocial support for patients and families, including counseling and other support programs.
