Featured Corporate Profile: Bountiful Bakery and Cafe

bountiful 04-08Becky Nichols, owner of A Trip to Bountiful Bakery and Café, is no stranger to making the most of a difficult circumstance. After losing her daughter Libbie at the tender age of five to leukemia she embarked on a healing journey of her own. In 2006 she combined her love of food and experience as a caterer into a successful business in the heart of Westlake. After years of hard work she was able to open her second location in Bee Cave in 2009. Both locations primary focus is funding The Loving Libbie Memorial Foundation. The foundation that Nichols created to directly benefit those children like her daughter that are living, fighting and recovering from cancer.

The Loving Libbie Memorial Foundation is supported by Bountiful Bakery and Cafés wonderful, caring customers.
As a direct result of their support this past year Bountiful was able to donate almost $13,000 in food to the Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center and Dell Children’s 4 North; Bountiful provides them the kind of comforting meals that they have an appetite for…it helps make their treatments bearable. The bakery also makes sure that the kids in treatment have cakes on their birthday and at their end of treatment party!  In addition to the clinic Bountiful also donates food and funds to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, the Lights of Love Fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House of Austin and the St. Baldrick’s Cancer Fair at Dell Children’s Medical Center.  Bountiful Bakery and Café is only able to take part in all of these wonderful awareness and fundraising opportunities through the generosity of our customers, who know that the meal that they purchase will literally buy a child with cancer some comfort.
