Building for the Future

Thanks to you, in 2004 we broke ground on a brand new hospital to serve all the children of Central Texas. Fast forward eight years, Dell Children’s has grown by leaps and bounds. Last year the hospital had over 141,000 patient visits.  In fact, since opening in 2007 Dell Children's has increased patient visits by over 67%.  Adding an additional patient bed tower has always been part of the long-term plan for Dell Children's.  The time is now and the children of Central Texas need us to be ready...Dell Children's is expanding to serve you and your family.

On March 1, 2012, The Foundation announced its Building for the future campaign, which includes three vital fundraising initiatives:

  • Dell Children's Third Bed Tower Project
  • Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Imaging
  • Dell Children's Endowment

**UPDATE: Again, thanks to YOU, in May 2013, WE DID IT! We opened our third bed tower doors to Central Texas to continue to serve our community. However, WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! We rely on the support of generous individuals like you to provide hope and healing to our patients. Will you please consider a donation to provide continuous care to the children of Central Texas?

  • Dell Children’s Third Bed Tower Project
    • This three-floor, 72 bed expansion will increase our capacity to serve children with critical care needs, add and enhance key medical programs, and provide additional services and amenities for families. Click here to learn more.

  • Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Imaging
    • Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvasive neuro-physiological technique for creating a 3-D map of brain activity. Once we acquire a MEG imaging system, we can further serve children with epilepsy, brain tumors or traumatic or sports injuries, and further our neuro-centric research initiatives. • Dell Children’s Endowment
    • Endowment funds are critical to ensure that Dell Children’s will continue to provide the highest level of care for generations to come. Click here to learn more.

You can make a difference today. We invite you to be a part of Building for the Future at Dell Children’s by making a gift in support of this vision. Your gift matters.
